About the Author
Don Failla started in network marketing in 1967. Over the years, he created a simple, proven system by focusing on what actually worked as he built his business.
By the time he passed away, Don's organization had grown to over 1.4 million people, with 600 to 700 new members joining every day. He taught in more than 35 countries and helped people around the world change their lives.
Don retired more than twenty years ago, but his business kept growing. He and his wife Nancy were married for 56 years, raised two sons, and enjoyed five grandchildren at their home in California.
Don Failla passed away in August 2024, leaving behind a lasting legacy. His books were translated into many languages and, with more than 11 million copies sold, continue to help people everywhere through the Own Your Life system.

Preface
To start building a big team, all you need is The 45 Second Presentation, also called the Own Your Life Card.
If you do not want to memorize it, you can read it to your friends or let them read it. Once you understand the message, you can share it with anyone, because the Own Your Life system was created so anyone can do it.
All they need is desire. Without that, nothing happens.
The secret to the system is not to talk. The more you talk, the more people think they cannot do what you are doing or do not have time for it.
After reading The 45 Second Presentation, your friend may have questions. That is good, but do not try to answer everything. If you do, they will have even more questions.
Tell them it is normal to have questions and the book will answer most of them. Ask them to read the first five chapters. Most people will read the whole book after that.
Never say, "Read the book." Say, "Read the first five chapters."
Once they read it, they will understand network marketing. That is the key. The number one reason people do not build this business is they do not understand it.
After that, you can show them your company, your products, and your plan. But to begin, all you need is The 45 Second Presentation. It takes about 30 seconds to read it.
