Chapter One - Napkin Presentation # 1 - Two x Two = Four

Chapter One: Napkin Presentation #1

How Sponsoring Just a Few People Can Multiply Your Success

Now that you understand the basics of network marketing, let's assume you're in business for yourself and working toward your financial goals.

It's time for your first napkin presentation.

This presentation removes the pressure of thinking you must sponsor a large number of people to earn a good income. It also shows why it is important to work with the people you sponsor and help them get started the right way.

The First Napkin Presentation

This presentation begins by writing down 2 x 2 = 4 and multiplying down, as shown below:

2 x 2 = 4

From this point on, we'll start using the word sponsor.

Next to the 2 x 2 column, write 3 x 3, and say:

"Over here you sponsor three people and teach them to sponsor three, which makes nine new people."

Then teach your three how to help those nine sponsor others, and now you have 27. Go one more level down, and you'll have 81 people.

3 x 3 = 9

Notice the difference between 16 and 81 people. Ask if they agree that's a big jump. Then point out that the real difference is just one person. Everyone sponsored one more person.

Now try sponsoring four people into the business. To the right of the 3 x 3 column, write:

"Let's see what happens if everyone sponsors only two more people."

"You sponsor four and teach them to sponsor four. Then help your four teach their 16 to sponsor four more, and you'll have 64. Go one more level, and your group will have 256 people."

4 x 4 = 16

Point out, "The difference is that everyone sponsored two more people."

Five Times Five

Finally, move to five.

"Five times five is 25, times five is 125, times five is 625."

5 x 5 = 25

Most people can picture sponsoring a few more, but the large numbers at the bottom - 256, 625 - are harder to imagine.

Picture yourself at the top of that last column, having sponsored five serious builders. (You may need to sponsor 10 to 20 people to find them.)

5 x 5 team

With five builders sponsoring five each, you end up with 780 serious people in your organization.

Do You Sell the Products?

This shows how sales happen, without anyone having to do high-pressure selling.

If 780 people are using the product, that alone creates significant volume. Add 10 casual customers per builder, that's 7,800 more customers.

That's 8,580 people moving product, and you're only working directly with five serious builders.

How to Grow Your Business

People will ask, "What are you doing differently?"

Ask them, "How many people are on your front line?"

If they say 25, 50, or more, chances are, they're trying to manage too many people. That's why they struggle.

Even the military limits supervision to five or six people. You should too.

Don't try to manage more than five serious builders at a time. Sponsor more, but work deeply with five. When one becomes independent, bring in another.

This approach builds strong, self-sustaining teams, and it's how you win long-term.

Summary

You don't need to be a great salesperson or sponsor an army. Simply find five serious people and help them do the same.

That's the power of multiplication. That's how you own your life.
