Chapter Eight - Napkin Presentation # 8 - The Sizzle Sells The Steak
How to Keep the Fire of Your Business Alive
If you have ever been camping, you know how a campfire works. When the logs are stacked together, the fire burns bright.
But separate those logs and the flames die down. Eventually, they go out.
It is the same in network marketing.
When people stay connected, work together, and support each other, energy builds and momentum grows.
But when someone tries to build in isolation, the spark fades. One log alone does not blaze. It burns out.
If you want your team to catch fire, stay close. Create a community. Support your people. Help them do the same for others.
Why Energy and Community Ignite Your Business
- One log on its own will not stay lit.
- Two logs together can spark a flame.
- Three logs create a fire.
- Four logs become a blaze.
People work the same way. Energy builds when we connect. The more plugged in your team is, the stronger your momentum.
We call these gatherings Blazes, also known as Sizzle Sessions.
Your business is the steak. The Sizzle Session is what sells the steak.
Today, you can hold these sessions online. Zoom, FaceTime, or Facebook groups all work well. They build connection, share vision, and keep energy high.
How to Make Them Work
- Invite your sponsor and one or two teammates.
- Share a few Napkin Presentations.
- Focus on helping everyone feel the excitement and possibility.
- Let the energy do the talking.
Set a weekly schedule so everyone knows when and where to plug in. Your team is out gathering wood. The Sizzle Session is where they bring it to light the fire.
What About Skeptics?
If you try to light a wet log (a skeptical person) by yourself, it will not catch fire. But bring them to a blaze, and they will warm up, dry out, and maybe even catch fire too.
From Twig to Blaze
Why You Should Never Build Alone
When you are getting started, you are a twig. Your sponsor, who has been around longer, is a log.
A log and a twig together can create a flame. It is small, but powerful, and it can grow.
Having someone with you makes all the difference. Your sponsor can help with conversations, answer questions, and add credibility.
For example: you might want Joe to hear a message. If you talk directly to him, he may tune you out. But if you are talking to Carol and Joe overhears, he is more likely to listen. That is the power of a third-party conversation.
How to Start a Sizzle Session
Sizzle Sessions are small, focused group conversations that build belief, spark energy, and drive momentum.
- Start with positivity: Have each person share something good that has happened in their business.
Stay Focused
Keep the conversation about the business. This is not the time to fix the world's problems.
Keep It Simple and Consistent
Hold your sessions weekly and keep them short. Let everyone know when and where to join.
Why They Work
When three or four people come together, energy multiplies. That is how twigs turn into logs and logs turn into a blaze.
So do not try to build alone. Partner with your sponsor. Bring a teammate. Invite a prospect. Let the energy do the work.
Alone, you are a spark. Together, you are a blaze. And that is how your fire keeps growing.
